I decided to make my own website at the start of this year. It seemed like at good idea at the time. I thought I would get the income from affiliate links so added a few of these. The site looked rubbish. I didn't have much time the rest of the year to edit it as I had other tasks to do. I had a bit of spare time the other weeks so I thought to edit the website. I have changed the layout and content. Since the end of January I have received 988 unique visits. It was only last month I signed up to google adwords. I have only spent £3- £4 though. In September I got 218 unique visits and this month so far 188. Any suggestions with what to do with it. Feel free to have a look at the site. Hi,
It's a nicely set out affiliate store but the problem is that you'll never attract much traffic for several reasons. There's no real content and your pages are not optimised for the search engines.
Here's some starters
Pick some keywords for your pages -the search engines look for keywords to bring visitors to your site. They look at the text in the page, the title tags looking for a match for those keywords. You need to get some keyword in content in your web pages - even if you just add Title tags explaining the pages you'll at least attract some traffic.
Add some real content about rings, watches , jewellery - maybe have pages on specific items and write short reviews or information about them using keywords like the model number or similar.
At the moment all it is a shop and the search engines will have no reason to bring visitors there - you need to develop the site with information - maybe some guides on buying watches, how to look after them etc.
Be careful with adwords you can lose lots of money - if you do use it set strict limits and target very specific words - e.g. the model of a certain watch and then send them to that page - never target vague words like watches as you'll just lose money.
Read the information in the link below and also have a look at the Free version of a program called Web CEO it's excellent and you can point it at your web site and it will give you guidance on what to improve.

you need a better logo, no offense it looks a bit cheap and untrustworthy, you need more selection and you could try investing in letting people choose colours and stuff like that i could make you a logo or 2 see which one you like if you want?
Make your site mor jazzy so people want to go onto it!

The first thing that frew me off was the header - your homepage title - its too in-your-face.
I see your using Amazon store, well thats okay but I think you really need to promote it futher.
Your vistors decreased they have have been put off by the header. |
