Hello, Here are a few starting points for you. Try to think of Internet Marketing as a university.

There are so many disciplines to choose from once you are enrolled in a university- English, Maths, Social Sciences, Psychology etc. Now which profession should one join? You can argue you should join the discipline that will be pave way for the most financially rewarding career. However not everyone studies to become a doctor or a financial investor, because it does not interest everyone.

Similarly you have to first analyze your strengths and weaknesses, what you like and what you don't like, and most importantly your financial situation.

1. If you have absolutely no money or have a very limited budget to start out with, I recommend you start out with a program- Wealthy Affiliate- http://www.wealthyaffiliate.com/?a_aid=OnY1OciT. For a review, follow this link, http://www.squidoo.com/wealthyaffiliatereviewfeatures provides a review of Wealthy Affiliate. It is a great program to start out with because you can learn a lot about Internet Marketing with very little money.

2. If you have some money to invest, you can dabble in PPC. PPC is pay per click marketing where you can earn some quick money by promoting your products or earn commission by promoting other people's products. 3. If you a lot of money, you can start out by developing your own product and selling it. However you will have to research the market, know your audience and analyze your competition before you do this.

So first decide, which stream of Internet Marketing, you would want to pick and stick to that stream. It is very easy to be distracted into doing a lot of things and end up not being successful in anything.
