I have been assigned the task of starting and managing a bar in a Restaurant. No people come to the restaurant at night and we'd like to build a clientèle. Does anyone have ideas for how and where to advertise and what tactics are most effective?

It is in Bridgeport, CT. For those not familiar, it is not the best place in the world. There is a lot of poverty and the streets are usually empty and sketchy at night. But there are people that will go to specific places in the city. So, signs on the street don't help much. We need to reach out to people who don't live there. We've got specials covered, it's about how to inform people of these specials. We want a mixed crowd, but are trying to keep it upscale and classy. It's the way of the world, but we don't want white people being scared away by a bar full of non-whites, but we don't want ALL white people. If you know Bridgeport, you'd understand how it could swing one way or another and we'd like to avoid that.
