what i tell my seo clients, is to add a link to the signature of your email, put a link at the bottom of all your press releases, talk about it on twitter, link to other blogs, add them to your blog roll, also, be sure to take advantage of the ability to use trackbacks, and pinging. dont forget to add your blog to google webmaster tools and choose more broad keywords as opposed to specific ones that you would for typical KWR, and be sure to insert those slugs into your url.

try listing posters on the street to get attention. Signatures on forums. or search up FREE google adwords on google, to get free advertising of your website.

do social networking. Submit your site to high quality directories and sites. Be an active member of good forums and take part in discussion. Signature in forum also help you some how.

Increase back links. etc...

You're doing one way, by posting the domain in public areas. The best way is to optimize the content so the search engines index the site.

Article marketing. You take your article and edit it a little bit so it's about 20-30% different from your actual blog, and then post it to free article directories. Ezinearticles is the main one most people use. A good article length is about 500 words. Then you put a link to your blog in the resource box at the bottom of the article.

There are several ways you can get traffic to your blog:

1) Buying Links

i) The reason for this is to get backlinks to your blog so it will be noticeable on the Search Engine. You can buy links at Text-Link-Ads.com. I've used their service before and it was quite good.

ii) Buy links from blog owners which have high targeted traffic to their blog. Some people may just ask you to comment on this particular blog. However, the technique that I used for quite some time now and it works tremendously is by buying (asking) them to link back to your site from the homepage.

2) Article Marketing

Write several articles regarding your niche and submit it to Top article directories (you can check out the resource section for the link). Make sure your signature have something to offer for the readers to click on your link.
