To me, hits is not that important as using some scripts could easily let your webpage hit a very high value.
I think your question could be how can I better promote my website and increase my sales.
There are a lot of ways to promote or advertise your websites. They are broadly classified into 3 main areas 1) Buy Traffic 2) Build Traffic and 3) Steal Traffic. All these strategies are baiscally trying to get more visitor to visit your website and eventually buy the product from you. Normally, I am using strategy 2 and 3 as some of these methods are cheap and even free.
