How can I get loads of traffic to my site?

Ok, I started a blog using WordPress and free hosting through 000 Web Hosts. I know its not that good, but I don't want to spend anything on my site just yet.

What is the best method(s) of getting loads of traffic to my sites, besides using traffic exchange programs? I just want to get my content out there in front of people's faces to read. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You are being unrealistic. You want tons of traffic to your site without paying. Your doing things backwards you must pay for advertisement to start with and as your website grows you will then pay less.

There are a number of blog plugins that help you build back links and generate links to your site. There isa free course that teaches using video many free techniques for building blog traffic fast and free.

First, you have to have something on your site that people will be interested in. Chances are, if it is a personal site like those "hey look at my kids! arn't they cute!" sites then, i'm sorry, no luck. So! Make sure your site has something viewers can take away from it (information, enjoyment etc).
Make sure you have good meta tags. This will make it easier to search engines/users to pick you up.
Put a little google search on your page. (show up sooner in search results)
Talk to other websites with similar content and see if you can get a link on their site. Yay!

Install wordpress on a PAID hosting plan, so this way, you have a professional presence, a personal domain name that you have all DNS control and domain registrant control as well. YOu should look into that...
