Hi, I started a small bowling site last year, www.newballz.com . I had the same problem, how do I get traffic. Getting traffic is the hardest thing to achieve with a website. Hi, when you submit your site to the search engine, it will not be indexed immediately. It takes time, even if it is indexed, it might not be in the first page of a search. Search engines use "spiders" to visit a site when submitted. If the site is "relevant" it will speed up the process of ranking high in search engines.
Content is King! Give a lot of tweaking on your contents. The more oringinal your content is, the faster it will be indexed by the search engines.

Try to get links to your website everywhere you can! I just got my link thrown up at onefreelink.com. Their new but they are growing and I got a good spot at the top of the category page. |
