I just created a web page and i submitted my url to all the search engines, but i would like to get more traffic into my site. I really dont want to use adwords or anything like that because i dont have much money to spend on that stuff. Is there a free way that i can promote my site or some way i can get more people to check it out without spamming or any of that stuff??

There are a few SEO techniques which you can implement which will get high organic rankings on search engines.
First one is to optimise each pages title tags and meta descriptions. Focusing each page on 2 or three keyphrases which searchers are typing in in Google, Yahoo, MSN etc
Second, to ensure the optimum amount of keyphrases are in the content so search engines pick this up as being the focus point of the page. Search Engines will put general pages with no focus at the bottom of their rankings and the more topically focused pages towards the top.
Thirdly, find quality incoming links for the site. Google determines a page rank by two things, the traffic through a site and the amount of quality incoming links. Ensure that these links are related to your website, in this case - anything to do with sport.
Once this is done then it's time to analyse and tweak... and tweak some more. Google Anayltics and Webmaster Tools are very important to have successfully optimised website.

Some websites let people review other things, and sometimes I review my own website. I've gotten more traffic.
The site I review my site on is for young girls, so I suggest you search up another review site on Google or something and review your site.
Get a banner making program as well, and encourage people to use your banner at there sites. I have a banner making program but unfortunatley I cannot give you the name. |

If you have the time and patience, I would suggest raiding the blogs and forums of sites you like, or sites that have something to do with your product(s). If you do that, then you can kind of advertise your site by setting it to the side like you did in here. This is exactly what you should to to have people check your site out. Just my opinion, hope it helps. :D |

I only can think about free targetted traffic using 26 tools created by Bishop Anders. I used to google adwords before but I feel like I pour money into ocean.
These 26 tools is not white hat or black hat ways to drive traffic. You need to used its wisely and have not intend to spamming, otherwise the creator will disable your accout before you make any sale. It's only help to speed the process, like advertising a products e.g. to all cities in Unite States via Craiglist,blogs,etc. |
