How can I get people to shop on my website?

I have an online shop where I sell handmade jewelry and accessories. I'd like to tell people about it, but most message boards have rules against posting advertisements. Is there a specific message board where I can do this legally? What are some other ways I can direct traffic to my shop? Thanks!

Make a myspace specifically for your business. Have your friends add you and put you on their top list.
Also, word of mouth is the best advertising. Tell your friends and family to spread the word!

and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries

to Google's spamreport.com can result in the
elimination of your website from their search
directory.
