I'd stay away from hit generation sites, they will send you garbage traffic for the most part. Just make sure your site is properly SEO'd, promote it through squidoo lens & hubpages. You could also try 'bum marketing' this is where you write articles on your chosen niche and submit them to free directories such as ezinearticles.com. Once you have quite a few articles all with your site down as a resource you will start to see a steady flow of traffic with each new article you publish.
