You need to outline your idea and have it notarized by a Notary Public. Then if you see they used the idea, you have a legal, dated and signed document that you had the idea first. Also meet them in person (not emailing) and discuss your ideas and what you expect in return.
I learned the hard way... sent in a child's story similiar to found in Shark Tale (even characters with the SAME NAME and plots) 10 years ago. I didnt cover my a$$ and can't prove any of it came from my ideas sent to Random House and hundreds of other publishing places.

It's like showing a company machine but not telling them how you made it. Show them the results of the idea but not what it really is.

patent your idea for $50,make detail photo copy but dont let them know that you did.Its always more lucrative to suiting them when they violate patents.

You should able to prove the idea is really profitable. So you need a polished presentation and you need marketing analysis and possibly a lawyer who knows about the intellictial property rights.

Copyright it and then do it. Or just name the idea and have distribution rights locked on it they can't do anything when it's government protected.
