Don't waste your time in trying to get visitors to a page that has almost any content. It is pointless waste of time and/or money.
Work on the content first and then think about promotion. Remember that content is the king.
After working on your blog for a moment begin by submitting it to google and yahoo (if you haven't already, that is). Then think about marketing.
