Oh, really really difficult.
First you need to understand each newspaper and its market. Then choose the place and price of your advert. Korea and Japan are fairly simple, but China has a vast number of different newspapers in each city, province and region. One city like Shenzhen will charge 3000 RMB for an advert than in another city Harbin, is maybe 500 RMB.
Newspapers have advertising sales people, who want your advert to work. So if you contact them (do a search for newspapers in Korea and Japan) then can advise you about which day, which page, size etc. Korea and Japan have enough people with English reading skills to handle such an email.
In China, I would recommend talking to some local people, to do the translating and placement of adverts, rather than try and do it directly. They can research the papers and help you choose the right ones for you.
We once did a advertising campaign in Shenzhen, and chose a particular day and page, that suited what we were aiming for.
My friend ran advertising in another city and chose a completely different day for advertising due to the nature of that market. |
