You can't someone brought it before you fair and square.
Its the same thing as someone brought the last DVD what you wanted to watch. And he just leaves it on top of the dvd player but never uses it. You cant say, but he never uses it...so why can't I buy his dvd?
The only way to get that name is if the person who has that name is willing to sell it to you. |

Is there any other suffix available that would be ok? Like .net or .co.uk
You could try and buy it from the owner. Or gat another name, maybe similar. |

go to http://www.whois.net and type in the name you want and it will tell you who owns it and then you can get a domain agent to buy it for you |

If the domain name ends with .com try using .org .net or another tag. Try adding US or your state to the address. Otherwise, seems you are at a dead end without spending money. You can obtain the IP address to the site and track down the owner through the IP hosting. |

Do some thorough research to fin out who owns it. Ask them if you can buy it, and, if they agree, get ready to pay whatever they want. |

You can look up who owns the domain using the WhoIs database, it should give you an email address at the very least.
However, be forewarned, it's probably a domain squatter, meaning he'll try and charge out the a** for you to buy it. |

send an email to webmaster@........put the domain name here and it should find the owner. There are website search engines that will give you the owner plus other addressess available eg non .com sites that might suite you |

Did you try "view source" to see if there's any more information available hidden there in the code?
Did you try doing a WHOIS search on the domain name?
