They are paid by how many sales they make, or how many people agree to get on the mailing list, ect. So what they dont want to do is waste time. If you want revenge, ask a few questions, then say hold on. Make them wait 30 seconds, come back, appologize, ask another question, say hold on... Keep them on the phone as long as possible. Then say, "You know what.. Can you put me on your Do Not Call list?". They hate that! |

let them get through their whole pitch and then say you're not interested. i was a telemarketer in high school for 2 years and that is FAR more annoying than just hanging up. |

When they ask if so and so is there, even if its you they're asking for, say Yeah I'll be right back and pretend to go find that person but really just leave the phone sitting there for hours and hours. My friend did this once and she picked the phone up two hours later and the telemarketer was still there! |

Practice your phone sex voice with them; ask them what they are wearing and what they are doing with their other hand; with a crazy accent, tell them you are glad you have an opportunity to practice your new English speaking skills; repeatedly ask them if you can have a cookie; repeat everything they ask; answer their questions completely opposite of the truth; when they ask for an address, give them the address of your state attorney general; answer all their questions as if you were Batman, Wonderwoman, Superman, or some other hero. I let my two year old answer the phone they are like "is your mommy there" and my baby is like"mommy jajaja mommy,mom!"then she baby talks more,u can't understand but they think she is older and try talking to her it's funny
I used to be a telemarketer and one time they told me " he's busy right now, he's actually trying on his new speedos" I thought it was funny
they used to tell me a bunch of funny stuff but I can't remember right now it's been years that the one I remember the most oh yeah when they are talking inturrupt then screaming"I'm on the phone!!!" then let them talk more and again "i'm on the phone da.mn it!" keep doing that till they give up. |

My brother is in the financial advice field so when he got calls he would start asking them about how they invest their money and what kind of stocks do they have - he loved doing it. Turn the tables on them :) |

The newspaper kept calling us to see if we would subscribe after being told no several times. One time they called and my dad (who was quite annoyed with them at this point) answered. They asked if he wanted to subscribe and he asked if they had it in braille because he had recently become blinded in an accident. They felt so bad they NEVER called back. |
