Who is your target customer?
Determine this, and then provide lots of content on your website aimed at providing this customer the information that they will most likely be looking for? And keep on doing it. (Stop trying to sell. Start trying to provide valuable information. This is how Amazon sells, even - they provide customer reviews of many of the products that they sell!)
Once you've got the content on your site then try and get other sites to link to that content.
It's really very simple, actually, if you approach it the right way. Give, then take... ;-) |

There's a good guide to increase your traffic here: http://traffic-tips-and-tricks.blogspot.com/. The tips described there are quite simple but very effective. Give special attention to tip number 5 as it will tell you how to rank high in search engines pretty soon.
And if you're willing to invest some time into it you should also consider reading the book "Guerrilla Marketing" by Jay Conrad Levinson, it tells you a lot of practical and effective ways to market your business for very little or no money at all.
