Hi Simon,

have you considered going to the business start-up expo at Olympia in November. They have a dragons den live event! Make your pitch and maybe get some backing. An other way could be to join the A.I.B at independent-business.org.uk I did and I have my own virtual shop-front plus it is hosted free and they help me with all aspects of running my business. Don't overlook Ebay it could be a great way to raise awareness of your product. Check out the Association of Independent Businesses though it really got me off the ground. Good luck.

Depends what it is. You could set up a website and sell online.

Trudge the homeware stores and then do your homework properly.Hopefully,some of them will be interested enough to place orders.You almost certainly will not have the money to supply the orders,so take your order books and go to the Dragon`s den.If you make the cut,you`re home free.The interested dragons would even throw in business support to get you off to a good start.All the best mate!

I suggest you go to all the garden centres and ask if they would like to buy some or alternatively ask if you can leave one with them and see if they get any responses.
use this as market research 1st and you may get a feel of what the public thinks.

Chaos lives b4 order

First start out in your local area. some sales will give you the experience and customer response that new products need to survive a competitive market. Once you have some success build on that with small magazine ads for your target market. Home and Garden, Botanical Today, that sort of mag. With a few more sales you will be ready to get that website everyone else is talking about. If you don't want to start small be prepared for skeptics and slow sales. Good Luck.
