First off, who is your primary target market in geographic terms? Is it for India or the United States. You might need to consider buying a .com if the consumer market is in the USA. Secondly the logo needs to be reinvented. The font is barely legible and somewhat hard to read. These steps should be the first steps before you proceed too much further. |

Well ! there are two methods, paid and Free. Paid is quick and free one takes abit time but provides long time results. Paid is adwords and few other networks, Free is SEO or Organic Search Engine Optimisation.
Adwords is best choice for startup business or businesses having very good finances.
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is the only way to get good traffic free ;) You need to optimise your web site.
You need to do two aspects of SEO
1 is On site Optimisation, which includes adding Titles, META, Keywoerds, then content related to your META. Also Alt tag for
images can optimise your images.
2nd is Off site optimisation, which includes getting good links from other web sites related to your content/topic.
Also consider Social Bookmarking for Offsite Optimisation.
I will suggest you to use http://www.Tagza.com - submit your stories there, thats Cool young web site and any submitted URL
goes to its home page.
There is alot to do and it needs patience ;)

After the overall site design is tweaked you need to focus on the basic on site Search Engine Optimization techniques.
Each page should have a unique Title tag, meta description & meta keyword tag. You can download a FREE optimized html page here

After that is complete you need to add more content to the website and start to build your link popularity. Don't just go after any links, stay within your niche. For example if you sell cell phones, don't place a link on a site that sells just candy. Their is no relationship between the two and google will place less weight on that link.
I read something on www.jomboykin.com that mentioned a site with 50 quality links can outrank a site with 1000 non-quality links.
