Do not use automated submission tools..

The best way to get indexed to have powerful link backs.
I can get my new sites to indexed in 1-2 days by using decent link backs to my sites.
If you only go with submission, it may take at least a couple weeks to get indexed..

I have always found that manually submitting your websites to search engines can be a time consuming role that can give varied results.

When i have launched a new website that has never been ranked within any of the search engines i have always found that by listing my new website within some high ranked website link directories and submitting articles to article websites has given me best results. The reason for this is that high ranked websites are visited regulary from the major search engines, these search engines in turn will pick up your newly added link and then visit your website.

I think the ultimate aim is to promote your website. Submiting your website to different search engines is just one of the methods. You should get to advertise your websites using other methods. This will certainly improve your chances of success.

There is a lot of way to advertise either free or at a very low cost online. These are broadly classified into 3 main area. 1) Buy Traffic 2)Build Traffic and 3)Steal Traffic. All of these are trying to get more visitor to visit your websites and eventually know more of your invention and get the products from you.

I normally use (2) and (3) as some of these methods are often free or at a low cost.
