Well, there are LOTS of FREE ways to advertise nowadays, and most of it is all because of the internet.
First, let me say. I looked at your website. Number one thing that I see as a problem is...I saw the picture of dishes. So I assumed you sell dishes. After glancing at your products, that is not hte case. You have many types of products. Portray that somehow on the top portion of your homepage. Also, the black is quite boring. Is there any way of making that look more appealing??
Anyway to advertise...
There's MySpace. It's FREE. Create a profile for the company on there with links to your website to direct traffic to your site. And put information about your website on your MySpace page.
There's BLOGs. This is a great place to find a BLOG that relates to your industry (which isn't clear to me of what your's is...) and post things about your website in BLOGs.
You need to also look into SEO (search engine optimization) with Google and Yahoo! because when I just typed in "warmleeyours" without the .com, nothing came up for your website. Let these search engines know you exist!!! It's FREE.
WORD OF MOUTH - this is the strongest and most powerful tool in advertising/marketing, and guess what? It's FREE!!!

There are a LOT of steps involved in getting traffic.
To start with,
First of all, you need to do SEO (Search Engine Optimization) on your website, so that, with time it gets included in Search Engines. Search Engines are the primary source of traffic. SEO includes building up proper 'Meta Tags' (description, keywords, etc). If you can upload a sitemap (you may get a free sitemap on this site www.freesitemapgenerator.com). They hardly take 10 mins to do the job. Upload the sitemap file on your webhosting account on the root of ur website.
Then goto Google Webmaster Tools and add your sitemap to Google's database.
Once that is done, submit your website ('All pages' in the form of http://www.yourwebsitename.com/page1.html etc.)
Submit your website to DMOZ directory.
Make a page on your site and name it links.html and then do some link exchange with other websites (recommended: do link exchange with websites that offer similar services like your website).
It will take about 6 months to an year to start getting real traffic.
OR, the other way around is, purchase a good software that you can use to get traffic within a month. There are very good softwares available which can automate the link exchange system and also get your website listed in major search engines. To name a few ... Traffic Imperium, Traffic Equalizer etc.

Its good you guys trying to help Mike, but listing on 20 or 30 websites wont do him any good. Either he should run advertisements of his website/product on PPC or should use some software.
'adlinker' wrote about two products - traffic imperium and traffic equalizer. I have used both. Traffic imperium sucks!!
Traffic equalizer is great. Indeed it worked for me. I get over 1000 unique visitors a day. Thanks to the traffic i'm receiving from high page-rank pages :o) |
