How do I get my website crawled?

My husband and I started a business and we have a website it is www.atlantasbestrepairservice.com and I need to know how I can get it crawled by all the top search engines. I am new to all this and we are trying to do everything ourselves. any advice or help would be greatley appreciated.

If you go to any website, the title tag (in your case "Home") is what you see at the very top of your computer screen. There are different types of meta tags -- there's the title tag, description tag, keywords tag, even tags to tell the search engines if the page is to be indexed or not

Title tag is the title of your site -- what is your site all about? In 65 characters or less, describe what your site is. What are its main keywords -- or terms you want your site to be found in the search engines. That should be in the title. An example could be

Meta tag description is a statement of what the site is all about. When crafting one, think of the snippet from the search engine that you want to be seen, as most search engines pick up what you have stated in your meta description tag as your site description.

When crafting your metatags, think of two audiences: potential visitors so make it enticing enough that those searching for your services will actually click on your site; then the search engines.

Then start building links. Start with all websites pertaining to Atlanta particularly directories and request that your site be added to their list. Issue press releases online

After an initial review of your opening webpage's SEO metatags, it's quite apparent that you do not have any effective metatags in place especially when your <title> entry is "home." Here's a helpful article which describes the use of effective SEO metatags and webdesign.

is far easier to be indexed by search robots. Limit
the use of stylized text saved as .gifs since as a
graphic, they are not indexable by search robots.

Avoid use of frames since any number of search robots
are unable to properly classify textual material.

Placement of Metatags:

A ranking or search order does take place with Google
and Yahoo and it begins with the "Title" metag which
should consist of no more than 65 characters separated
by commas. The "Title" should describe in generic
terms, the goods and services, followed by a location
from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state.
The placement of a domain name which is not generic
within the "Title" is not appropriate, unless your
domain name is a major recognizable brand name.

The second metatag is the "Description" which is
usually 25-30 words to form a complete sentence which
best describes one's goods and services.

And the very last category - "Keywords" are also
somewhat limited to 15-16 words which can be plural
and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries
which could be mistaken as "spamdexed entries" which
is defined as the loading, and submission of
repetitive words into a particular metatag category.
"Spamdexing" when discovered on a webpage and reported
to Google's spamreport.com can result in the
elimination of your website from their search
directory.

Here's an example of a very highly-placed website on
Google.com: Begin with the very "generic" search query
"sandwiches downtown los angeles," taking note to not
abbreviate Los Angeles to "LA" and of course, leave
out the parentheses ("). It will bring up some 2.4
million+ search results. Check out where "Nazos.net"
is ranked. It's ranked No. 1!
Again, Nazos.net's high web presence was achieved by
proper web design and placement of relevant metatags
according to Google's publication guidelines.

The other contributors have hit a lot of good points: title tags, meta tags, carefully choosing your elements (for example <h1> elements are weighted more heavily than a <p> element.) - don't go around putting a hundred <h1> tags though, because then the search engine will view everything with equal weight...

Another thing to think about is creating a sitemap page that links to every other page within your site. This will help the search engines' spider crawl through your entire site.

Yet another way is to be sure that you have a robots.txt file on your server. Read more about robots.txt at: http://www.robotstxt.org/

never submit your website to any engine if your website is good enough they will come and crawl, what you need to do is do site map and add that in webmaster tool and try to participate in forum, blog and try to use some social media website with genuine thought not for spamming. i cannot see how people advice some to add website to different search engines, i hate and since i remember i never did this
