One of the most important things about SEO is key words. You can start by doing some research on a site such as www.wordtracker.com or www.google.com/trends to find out which words are being searched for most in your industry. Then, make sure your website is seeded with these key words (where they're relevant).
Additionally, having sites and blogs that link to your website is very helpful in improving your search standings, as it validates your site. Make it easy for people to link to your website via metatags, delicious, etc., and put up information that people would be interested in - maybe testimonials, an intro to your nannys, relevant news items about child care... you could even start your own blog. |

The fasted way to get listed in the top 3.
1. Create a sitemap.xml file
You can create one here:
http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/about-sitema...
Click on the “Free Online Sitemap Generator tab”.
Save it to your Web Authoring Program and upload the file to the root directory of your hosting service.
2. Create a robots.txt file
Your robots.txt file should read as follows:
User-agent: *
Disallow:
Sitemap: http://www. http://www.example.com/sitemap.xml
(Be sure to replace “example.com” with your URL)
Then upload the file to the root directory of your of your hosting service.

All search engines recognize the robots.txt file so your site will be put in their index as well. It will take a few weeks or longer to get indexed.
No matter what route you take, you need to create the files I mentioned above.
Note: Do not change the order of the text in the robots.txt file, keep the text as is with the exception of changing the wording “example.com” to your URL. This is very important.
Keywords aren’t used by many search engines these days. What you should concentrate on is content. Then work your content into you’re meta tags such as:
<title></title>
<meta name="description" content=" " />
These are the meta tags that really matters.
I use keywords for the few search engines that still use them, so make sure you use relevant words.

You best bet will be spending 5-15 hours only dealing with SEO.. Plus you should know how to write articles+develop web pages+
It all depends on what kind of online competition you have...Only your work may not be enough...
