How do I know a work at home business ad posted online is genuine?

Most of them aren't. If they are asking for money in advance? Fake. If "Tara and bill from Washington made 10,000 their first month!", its fake. The government has all kinds of data entry and envelope stuffing jobs. The gov. wouldn't scam you! ha, seriously though, Ive actually met people that do some inventory typing for city offices or stuffing envelopes. That's it.
Hint: use a sponge, not your tongue.
Another hint: the dude above me is a good example of a scam.

Even more then all this is they are accepted at over 100,000 retailers nation wide. These are fortune 500 companies like Sears, Target, Walgreens, CVS, Wal-mart and more. These companies would never work with a company that was any thing less then reputable. That made me feel very good about working with them knowing they were accepted at the stores I frequent. Also now of course being with them I get the benefits for free and I saved over $150 on my last visit to the dentist! Thatâ€™s just a beautiful perk! : - )

When I first started I just felt very safe with themâ€¦. that and my friend was already making so much money with them! But at this point I feel a sense of security financially that our family has never had before. That plus LOVING what you do? What could be better?

If you are looking for a JOB there should be NO cost and I would NEVER pay or encourage anyone to pay money to work for someone else. This is a business, a inexpensive home business of your own. Where you are your own boss. Of course it does cost some money to start any home business but that does NOT mean you should pay $500 or even $1000. Our start up costs are less then $100 bucks and we get SO much for that. Each month we cover only a very small portion of what it really costs to run our businesses, the company pays the rest for us. Including all of our web sites, training, materials, 401k, direct deposit, medical benefits and more. This company basically makes it possible for you to own your own home business and they foot almost 100% of the bill!!!
Without them I never would have been able to afford my own business!

What you have to do first is to feed the website URL of the company to any search engine plus the word scam. E.g. "www.companyname.com scam" The results generated should tell you if this company is really legit.

If the search generates very little or no result at all. You should also be wary. There are a lot of companies opening now that only gets customers, collect fees from them and suddenly disappear.

Also try checking their website. Contact information should be available. If not, another red flag goes up.

You should never fall for get-rich-quick gimmicks. There's no such thing. You would never earn tons of money doing virtually nothing.

And lastly, there should never be any start up fees to be collected.

What I usually do is type in the name of the company involved
re: (domain name/rip offs. ) and check the ownership of the sites to see if it coresponds with the name or company for this I use a thing called ProjectWhois
