paulsarahjackson | How do I pretend to send a letter from Father Christmas? |
How do I pretend to send a letter from Father Christmas so it looks like it has been posted from the North Pole with no trace of where the letter was actually posted from? |

If you're writing and posting it yourself, I don't know, but when my friend's daughter was little (age 2-4) I used to send a letter with a 'from santa' letterhead and she loved it, she really thought it was from Santa, never looked at the envelope even though it was there and when she was old enough she'd open it herself.
A kid young enough to believe truely in Santa is unlikely to think to check the stamp/postmark to see where it was posted.
There are services that provide 'Letters From Santa' which no doubt will have an agreement with the post office so they don't have a local postmark on. In fact don't the post office run one? They of course charge a fee.
I'd say if you're only trying to fool a 3 year old then don't worry about it, just send the letter, worked for me! |

I seem to remember that the Post Office did a Christmas letter service a few years back??? I believe they may have had a special post mark that would make the letter appear as to be posted from Lapland.
I hope this is not an urban myth that I have heard of and if it's not this may still be in existance or at least an avenue worth a try. |

bring the child or whoever you are tricking to come with you to the postbox.
Make him/her insert the mail in the mailbox to make him/her believe more.
And that's all about just it. I'm sure they'll discard it or keep it or send it to a "make dreams come true" places, OR if none of that happens and the mail was sent back to you, make sure you see it first before he/she does. If he/she found out, tell him/her that the person who was about to deliver the mail can't go to the north pole because (insert tragedies here) and that the mailman is at stake o.o
But let me warn you, tricking him/her especially if he/she is a child, you might ruin the child's dreams and hopes. Which is bad for the future =]
or if had luck, you two might laugh at it in the future.
:) HOPE I HELPED !!
Advanced Merry Christmas to you ^^ |

Why not have one sent by e.g. www.yourspersonally.co.uk. There are lots of companies doing this. I used one which took some details of the child and incorporated them into the letter so it was very personal. |

Don't be silly! Everyone knows that Santa doesn't start work until the first day of Advent. Everyone except shops, restaurants, hotels..... |

Draw your own "postmark" on the envelope and instead of actually sending it, slip it in the rest of the mail when you get it out of the mailbox. Look through the mail in front of your kid and "find" the letter from Santa. Of course, this won't work if it isn't your kid you are asking for. |

say it was hand delivered? |

That depends on if it's for a child, (I assume it is).
In that case, just put a stamp on the letter and write a return address. If you really want it to look authentic, try to find on of those little stamps saying it's been to a different country. Stationary is also very important. Make it heavy, and hand written, maybe with a wax seal on the back (candle's probably the easiest). Hand delivering is the best method, but if that's not possible, put the letter within another envelope, and send it from you place. When it gets where it's going, just have the parent or neighbor take it out of the fake envelope and place it back in the mail box. |
