My best advise is to find a freelance designer to help you out. They will be able to get you exposure, and are usually less expensive than a design or marketing firm.
Ill expand....
There are certain materials that are valuable...
1. Business cards.
2. Well thought out logo and identity.
3. Direct mail advertisements
4. Email advertisements
5. Effective labels and product image
6. Study your target audience, and advertise to them (esp direct mailers)
7. Website
(these are in no particular order) |

You should check out http://womma.com/wom101/ It explaind different techniques used to create positive word of mouth about your business. A lot of them are free. As well as that there are a lot of books about successful advertising styrategies that most people overlook but some of them are definitely worth a read. |

There are many ways to do this. First of all, if you haven't done so already, you'll need to define who your target customers are. Who are your current customers and who do you want them to be? How many competitors do you have? What do you offer that they don't? Why should customers come to you and not them? This helps you to define your "Unique Selling Proposition." After you've got this all figured out you'll be better prepared to make a decision on what mediums to use and how to use them to reach the customers you want. Send me an email if your interested in more info on this. I can try to help you. |

I have 3 small companies here in cali. I've spent tons of money on radio, tv, newspapers, flyers, you name it I've tried it. I'm not sure how big craigslist is over there, but in the last 6 months we have taken on more customers using craigslist then any other form of advertisement, and best of all it's FREE!!! Just run several adds with different titles and you're sure to get hits on your website. Craigslist also pops up right at the top of Google searches so you don't have to spend money on the add space for google if you keep the adds posting daily. |
