A non-disclosure agreement needs to be signed. I doubt MS would sign one though. |

Hi
What you should do is called a poor mans patent
Take your plans-notes-ideas and all information you have on your product Then make a copy of everything
Then place them in an envelope Put tape across the seal
date it.
Then take it and mail it to yourself at your address
Never open it. Unless your in court or your attorney
that way you have proof and dates of your product poem ideas etc
and that will stand as evidence in court |

The poor man´s patent is not bullet proof, as you stated. Please read for a stronger process (A notebook with the first page notarized) that might help have better protection against intellectual theft. |

Get the best lawyer you can get. A trademark/ patent is only as good as it can be protected.
Also, and this is important, nothing against your idea, but is Microsoft willing to risk negative press & any headaches you could bring for your product....probably not. Go for it! |
