Hand them out, let neighbors know, post the cards in places of business. But the best way is always networking. Make sure your friends know, their parents, their brothers, cousins, your aunt's neighbor, EVERYBODY. |

Some grocery stores have bulletin boards outside the front door. Would definitely put it there. Also, check the elementary schools in your town. Maybe they'll let you put an ad on their school website or on their bulletin board or newletter. The place way to get babysitting work is word-of-mouth. Once you babysit for someone, ask them for the names and phone numbers of friends who may need babysitting. |

Find local daycares, and distribute business cards there. stop by and ask to talk to the director. tell her who you are and that you are looking to get the word out about your availability. make sure to tell her things like whether you have experience, and how much, whether you have taken any certification courses (parents LOVE to know that the sitter knows CPR, etc.), and make a note of the director's name, and possibly follow-up with a call a week or two later. Also, ask church nurseries if you may leave your business cards there too. If you have babysat before, make sure that you have reference letters or people willing to back you up if new parents want to talk to them. Word of mouth is really your best avenue! Good luck!!! |

Get a child's rocking horse.
Have a sign made that says "Ally loves kids" (use a heart symbol instead of the word loves) and your phone number.
Whenever you go babysit, set the rocking horse out front.
And when you leave, put flyers in the neighboring doors to the left, right, and across the street. |
