Hi! There are many ways to drive traffic to your site. The internet is such a big place that anywhere you can have your web address posted is a good start. However, there are several ways to be more precise.
You can advertise through larger sites such as google and facebook. Both have relatively easy to use/manage ad systems for sites. Google also has some great analytical tools that can really help measure progress.
You should also look into social media and some viral applications. Social media is becoming more and more effective as a way to stand out among the crowd. In my experience socialmediasquad.com is the best and brightest among social media firms.

Join discussion forums on the same topic. Contribute to them by answering questions, but not spamming. Make sure you have a signature file with a link to your site.
Make comments on related blogs. No spam again, just useful comments. Most blogs allow you to have a link to a website .
Advertise on Craiglist in the correct category, in the ad have a link to your site. Make sure the ad has all the related keywords. Google will index that.
Issue a Press Release about your new site. It will cost about $80 on PRWeb, but you'll get exposure in Yahoo and other sites.
Write articles on your topic and submit them to Ezinearticles.com making sure you have a "resource box" with your site link. Those get picked up fast. Just submit one every week.
Create YouTube videos (and other sites) , make sure the topic is related, put your URL on the splash screen of the video. Submit to all sorts of video upload sites.
Start a Squidoo page and keep it up to date. Those get indexed fast.
Answer questions on Yahoo Answers and include your site as resource.
Those are a few that can get you going. |

Who's your target audience? Im assuming it would be married women 30's-40's? Where do they live?
Try some blogs frequented by your target audience like perezhilton.com or popsugar.com, etc. Research what your audience's interests are so you know how to reach them best. You might also want to look into PPC (as mentioned by someone else) like Google Ad Words... If you don't know how it works go to Wikipedia and type in ad words |
