affiliation is a good thing. You can look for boards like yours( or ones you like) and ask to affiliate with them. I have alot of affiliates. I also"spam" dead boards,lol, if the are just sitting there, I might as well use them. I also have a few bots( only one is a crawler, and that only on aim) that let people know about my board, and only if they ask about it. This is one of my bots for example:
