Google Adsense is great, but only because I think it helps improve your Google ranking. Using it forces the Google bot to spider your pages.
But don't expect to make much money off it unless you get major hits.
Check with the web sites you mentioned, and see if they offer an affiliate program. That way when you refer a customer to them, you get paid a commission.
Consider too seeing if the products you talk about are available through Amazon.com. Then you can join their associates program and make commission on those sales too. |

How much traffic do you get?
You can use Adsense, but it's slow going. You need a LOT of traffic to earn any sizable sum. If you do use Adsense make sure you test different ad placement and configurations. I moved mine around a bit and saw a 2x increase in revenue.
However, if you have the audience for it, you can also do a newsletter and sell sponsorships. That's very effective for your advertiser (I know from experience) and you can charge a premium.
Finally, think about affiliate networks. They can pay very well if you have a small amount of traffic that happens to be perfectly targeted for their hobbies/needs. |

Yes, get Google Adsense, but don't rely on it as your major form of income.
Since you mentioned that you'll be adding posts about sneakers and urban clothing, my suggestion is to sign up with some of the major affiliate marketing companies like Linkconnector, LinkShare, and ShareASale. Once you do that, you pick products that are relevant to your blog and promote them using graphics, text links, and articles.

Google adsense is good but yes it can be slow if you dont have constant traffic. I suggest using affiliate marketing to earn your commissions off of your blog. When you join as an affiliate you are usually given affiliate tools and you can use those banners and text links and post them on your blog.. and readers will click..
I highly suggest becoming an affiliate with Amazon and for some of the sneakers and urban clothing you can try to find the ones you like on amazon and post your link to them and drive traffic towards your link and earn a nice income.
Search Engines love blogs and if you do it right and constantly update your blog then you can get some great organic traffic and earn a great income..
Blogs are a very good way to earn money through affiliate marketing.. trust me.. take advantage of it.
