No, new clients is the key for any sales person. The economy is great now you should have no problem getting new clients. Use 1 or 2 hours per day finding new business and referral is the best way to achieve this goal. If an old customer refers you it creates instance trust with the new client. |

a) After a few years every sales person faces this issue of not being able to deliver more. Key to pull urself out of this - FRESHEN urself thru either a lateral movement of job (selling another product) or moving to marketing etc for sometime.
b) After few years, a sales person tends to be against COLD calling. One tends to depend more on referrals than anything else. Get back to cold calls.
c) Go to ur best customers too - Ask them for more sales or more referrals. U have a right to ask.
d) Try alternate modes of sales - If u r doing only direct sales, try Channel sales agents / Tele-callers as a supplement to ur sales to generate leads etc. (Ur product category might have moved from a premium one-to-one product to a more mass market one? The selling has to change then) |
