Advertising effects our decisions by creating brand awareness.
When a consumer is familiar with a product they are more than likely going to call it by it's brand name (i.e. Coke rather than soda, Kleenex rather than facial tissue, etc...). Thus in most cases during the buying process requesting a product by brand name instead of description. |

Actualy advertising mearly is not the factor while making decision for purchase. However it is effective in following ways.
1. The latest offerings of the company's products are informed to the tageted market.
2. The youngers & some of the elders are attracted to buy the product the due to the way it has been advertised.
3. At least the brand name is acquanted to the cusomer,s mind which he might take as an option and may result in the purchase of same.
4. Many people needs opinion leaders for their every purchase. An effective ad may serve the purpose |

I know I mostly ignore online advertising - I find it a hindrance to getting information I want. Yet advertisers seem to believe there is sufficient reward to keep using ad banners, etc.
I avoid sites that are heavy on advertising or even worse spamming as a result of visiting them. Hope this helps answer your question. |
