1) All you have to do is just read a book which related with the sales & marketing management written by the Appaniah & Reddy.
2) Consult with the senior or professional who have very much experience with this field.
3) Believe whatever you do is the best and you shuold have an emphathy while you deal with the customers.

BEING A MARKETING PERSON FIRST YOU SHOULD KNOW HOW TO SELL YOUR WORDS IN SUCH A WAY THAT THE OPPOSITE PEOPLE TRUST YOU.SECONDLY TRY TO LEARN TO BREAK THE ICE WHILE ATTENDING THE CUSTOMER FIRST TIME.THIRDLY GIVE MAXIMUM TIME TO CUSTOMER TO HEAR YOU OR NEVER BE OBSTACLES IN HIS BUSINESS WHILE ATTENDING THEM.ALLOW CUSTOMER TO EXPRESS HIS DOUBT AND LISTEN HIM SERIOUSLY.IF YOU DONT KNOW THE ANSWER OF THEIR QUERIES DONT EVER TRY TO GIVE WRONG ANSWER TO CUSTOMERS. RESPECT THE CUSTOMER AS IT IS LAST CUSTOMER ON EARTH.ALWAYS BE PREPARED ABOUT YOUR PRODUCTS BEFORE GOING TO CUSTOMERS.

Sales is all about perseverance and building relationships with your customers. If you don't trust a person you will never buy something from them. So many sales people give up after their first meeting when the customer says NO... NO means 'not now' not 'never call again'.

Always make a meeting and don't try and make a sale over the phone. Your goal should be to make a sale on the third meeting. Again, it all depends what you're selling though. Some items are easier to sell than others, all with different techniques.

I suggest subscribing to newsletters and becoming part of forums on marketing and sales. You can search the internet and locate many sites that offer valuable information. I have learned much through being a part of forums and receiving newsletters.
