It depends, normally it's something to this effect:
If it's a local check:
$100 immediately; remaining next day
If it's a non-local:
$100 immediately; $5,000 within 3 days; remaining within 10 days
Same bank:
Immediate |

Depending on your bank, it could take anywhere from 1 - 3 business days. This time is used to check with the other bank and make sure the funds are available and it is not a bad check.
A lot of people get into the bad habit of depositing checks into an ATM and then withdrawing the money right away (Which many banks allow, some only allowing a partial withdraw) and then coming to find out that the check bounced and they're in the negative. Wait the full 3 days before you remove any funds from the check. |

Once your bank recives payment ~ then it will be available to you and that depends your bank and what kind of system they use I want to say the average time is 1-3 bussiness days :) |

Depends on the bank, I guess. Mine deposits the money right away but then if the check doesn't clear, they charge me $25 plus withdraw the money that tried to deposit. |

i'd also like to throw in that it may depend on two more factors,1) how much the check was for 2) was the personal check from the same bank, local, or non local non same bank. these are all factors on how long it will take.
1) my bank (53rd) will deposit a check $200 or less in 2 days or so. if the amount is more then that, i have waited up to 5 days before the money was available in my account.
2) if the peson who wrote you the check has the same bank as you, the money should be in your account tomorrow. if they are not same bank but local, maybe 2-3 days. if they are not local, you could wait up to 5 days. 5 days is the most i have waited, unfortunately, i have waited 5 days many times (i have heard 53rd sucks with peronsal checking accounts, that may bethe reason why, it sure has been my experience) |

It depends on what bank the check is through. If the check is written through the same bank you use then it should be available immediatly or the next day.
If its not through the same bank, generally it takes 3-5 business days. This also depends on your branches regulations. Some banks will allow you to withdraw on the check immediatly.
Call your local branch and ask them. |
