Costs for a network marketing business can vary greatly. You have to be sure that you understand exactly what you are getting for your money. Some will charge a large membership fee and then have quotas, etc. Some, however, will be much more reasonable.
When looking for a business you want to make sure that you believe in the product and that the product as well as the business plan is proven. I did quite a lot of research recently and chose Youth Juice to be my next business endeavor. I'm not sure what the laws are like in Australia for business licenses and network marketing, but there are some companies out there that are global in scope that you would be able to start earning a healthy residual income with. I am in network marketing. In my experience, it depend on the company you joined.
First you should only join a company with reputation, and with global presence, and history sales.
Second, the main overhead is the monthly product cost, and the marketing cost. It can be from $150 to $400
ABN, tax office, it depend on the country. In the US, you have to ask your top upline when you joined. They will be able to explained to you.

Every company has a good training program. However to be successful in network marketing, you have to run it like a business, and have a good game plan and good management plan.

Congratulations on thinking about getting into your own business.. that is the wave of the future..
I will highly recommend that you keep your full time job atleast until you are making 1.5 times of your salary in Residual income from your business. The whole reason behind it is to make sure that you / your family don't get into financial issues.
Your biggest overhead is - Learning - as in you will need to put a lot of money and time into learning how to be the best in MLM industry. You can get access to free videos on how to build a massive downline very quickly - lot of learning - but well worth your time and money..
You will also need to purchase the products on a monthly basis, go to meetings, etc.. so you will have a decent amount of overheads..
Mate, I think the biggest factor when you are looking at joining a MLM business is YOUR TEAM.. So have a chat with the people who are trying to get you to join and see how good they are..

The costs are low to enter network marketing. I take it you are in australia. I live in sydney and have just joined up with amway because they are a company that have been around for 50 years or so.It costs $105 to register and from $40 a month to take part in their continuing education program which is not compulsary. Another reason I am with amway is that they deal with ''anyway'' products , as in products that people spend their money on anyway like toothpaste, makeup,cleaning products, and food (and much,much more.)
You wont need to apply for an ABN until you start making a decent amount of money. ( by the way it doesnt cost anything to get an ABN)

One of the easiest ways of making money on the internet is to set yourself up as an affiliate. But it doesn't mean to say that you sign up with every single affiliate program and then spam everyone!
The best affiliate programs are the ones that give you good promotional material, not
just banner ads, but brandable eBooks and reports for example where you imbed your
