How much would it cost (roughly) for a 30-40 second advert on a national tv channel (bb2/channel 4/stv/etc) at 6 pm (i know that is peak) and how much for 2 pm.
I would only like a rough idea to see what i should do,

It is a hard question to answer, it depends on what channel, what time, between what shows etc etc.
You can't advertise on bb2, as i am sure you have realised by now!.
For the cheapest adverts you pay only a couple of thousand but these are on tv at 12pm watched by few people, (by 12pm everyone has changed over to playboy channel!)
So for a advert on say channel 4 at 4 pm you would pay around 25-30 thousand. However this increases to hundreds of thousands at the 5-8pm time.
You are obviously new to adverts so i would recommend a relatively cheap advert, like on daytime tv, channel 5 for around 10-15 thousand and around 50 ads.
All in all, adverts are really expensive, still they are the best way to well 'advertise' |

There's no paid for advertising on any BBC channels.
You'll probably nedd to budget from £10,000 + VAT on Channel 4 upto £60,000 depending on airtime coverage.
