I'd keep your radio ad to 30 seconds and make sure you have the budget to sustain the advertising for a few weeks minimum. In terms of cost I'm unsure - it depends how many listeners Radio Ulster has - but a cost guideline can be seen at the link below (along with a few tips on how to get a better deal):

Most radio ads are a lot shorter than a minute - no more than 30 seconds. The fees vary depending on what time of the day your ad airs, how many times a day it's aired and how long you book your ad campaign for.

It's best to run a campaign for 3 months minimum so that people get used to hearing your name. Repeating the ad at least 6 times a day is advised, too, and if you get it into the key times that your target audience is listening, it's likely to be more successful.

There's a lot of information on the Radio Advertising Bureau site. You do have to register to use it but it gives you a lot of background on radio advertising.
