It all depends on how obscure the service is.
Generally its very difficult to get a new website to rank well, domain age is a factor in rankings, as are the number of links.
However, if the market you are in isn't that competitive there is a legitimate way to get to the top. If you contact me with more details I may be able to help you. |

You can buy websites online for a mere £7.00 and you design and add pictures youself its cheap and quite effective if you know how, but doing your own is a learning skill and you will learn how to do them and whats effective for you when you have finished it. Less is more on websites no one likes looking at jam packed website! Once you have designed it you need to tag it |

Cheap is not always good. Have a nice website with some content and not just 1 page in site to get into google search.
Otherwise
If you want to go with only 1 page site, you will need many number of relevant and high PR back links with your keyword as linking text (also called as anchor text).

Its a long step, but its worh it, 1 Problem, the website can only be shown when your computer is on, because it uses your computer space, you download a program called Guildftpd at guildftpd.com, and then make a ftp, then use a program like Frontpage, or Dreamweaver, to make the webstie, you can also use Micrsoft Word. Then Design the site. Then put it in your FTP server, the one you make in GuildFtpd, and then go to your ftp site, Example ftp://Youripaddress/
If you do not know your ip address go to whatismyip.com , and take all those numbers Example ftp://putyouiphere,
ftp://24.20.50.32 That is an example, then go to your files, ( the website ) Once you go to your website take that address Example ftp://24.20.36.25/username/ind... Ok, there are now many ways to set up a professional looking website for little and nothing. The best place to do this is of course freewebs.com. They offer you the ability to do it yourself and you have total control over it. Do not pay anyone to do it especially since your idea is unusual you may be the only one that can bring out what you really mean. To get ranked in the top pages of google and yahoo is not easy but make sure that you choose your keywords correctly and again freewebs gives you the op to promote your site in various ways. As the name suggest it is free unless you wish to upgrade to a premium package. A premium package allows you to have your personalise domain name and all ad removed from your site. The rate per month start at about $US5 that equates to a couple pounds. If you are really looking to be ranked up in search engines use a professional SEO company. No one cannot guarantee ranking you on first or second place and even google says this themselves but the fact that your business in unusual means that competition is less severe and so you should be fine. Having a high ranking in search engines is no assurance of business success. Having someone click into your site is far different than doing business with that person.
While there are always the few sites that can boast of business success based on search engine rankings, they are the exceptions rather than the rule. For that reason they have developed mythical status.
Also, keep in mind that the business built on high search engine rankings can disappear when that ranking changes.
Being on the internet is almost like advertising in the Yellow Pages. Businesses need an ad, but studies have shown that a small works as well as spending lots of money on larger ads.
A better strategy is using your website to supply additional information to those already wanting to do business with you.
Develop business in other ways and use search engine rankings as a bonus. |
