You can do it yourself for pennies. Pay $10 to godaddy.com to buy a domain name. Then contact Weebly.com or SynthaSite.com to host your site. Very cheap. You can be open tomorrow.
Register at google.com/local/add to get your site to show up at the top of searches that mention the city you live in. A publicist costs $500 a month. |

The registration of the domain and it's upkeep costs are relatively low, however having a website designed will cost you at least $500, and can be much more depending on the size, content, and quality. |

It doesn't always equate. You could pay a fortune and get rubbish, or you could pay a lot less and get a really good site.
Make sure your web designer understands your business and what you want out of a website.
Look at some websites on the internet that work in ways you like. Make a note of the URLs and pass them to your web designer (you might even ask the person who designed the sites for a quote - they often leave their details somewhere near the bottom). |

It depends how much you can do yourself. Can you design what you want on paper? You could learn how to code it. A good talented youngster just starting in the business would code it for less than £1000.. Domain name is pretty cheap and sometimes comes free with the hosting which is relatively cheap (1and1 hosting is good) Our site http://www.shareworld.co.uk has not cost a penny and has always made a profit over the cost, mainly by Adsense. Have a look at http://www.ds32.com for our how to and information. |

You can buy a startup website with Yahoo webhost it would cost you 12.95$ amonth with a setup fee of around 35$ ...
If you are clever enough you can build it your self with the tools provided by Yahoo webhost ... Try it ... the cost is minimal and then if you do not like it you still own the domain name which anyone then can build a nice website for you. this is the best way to develop your web skills :) |

Go with freewebs.com. You can get the free version or you can upgrade. The free version has advertisements on it whereas the paid version do not.
If you're new to website building, this is one of the better ones I recommend to novices. Nice templates. You can add videos, connect to flicker, you create a blog, you can incorporate ecommerce.
Relatively cheap. |

Okay if you want it done brilliantly your looking at loads, youll be paying a web designer to do it and theyll price it for you, depending on how good they are there wadge varies from 5 pound to 100 pound (at extream) an hour.
Second off getting the name and bandspace for say a 4 gig site with fourm etc be around 100 a month and advertisment prices also vary.
depends on how big u want the advertisment, what site its on, and what way to pay, by clicks, by 100 views on a page etc etc.
It all greatly varies and depends on what sort of website your building.
But at a wild guess ide say 700 quid start up and 100 a year from there on + whatever extra space you pay for.
