I recommend going to Yellowpages.com to list your business for free. Then, inquire about rates for phonebook ads. OR call your local phone company ad dept.
Check out marketing companies such as Internet Marketing and Management Group http://www.webimmg.com for ideas/help. I know they often give helpful free business tips to small and medium sized businesses.

Do people still use yellow pages? Most people I know use internet but be that as it may, yellowpages.com should be able to give you rates. I would not recommend advertising in anything but black ink, because the amount you pay for the additional ink is no more effective than a larger ad or black ink. |

I just put a small ad in the yellow pages in Fla..and its the size of a business card, it will cost me $300 a month. It is in color also. good luck with your new business! |

Around $100 is enough for publish your business name including your contact information on the yahoo pages. But advertise size, page number, how many color u want to use, all of those hints can bear the cost of your add. |

Hi,
There are many ways to market a small business on the web. You can buy banner ads, text links, or use PPC. However, the best way is to get listed in a bunch of portals. Portals and directories are like phone books, and they often provide a lot of traffic because they tend to rank high on Google.
This portal is giving away a free business card holder for lising your business (I got mine a few days ago in the mail). If you want to know about some other portals, just let me know.
