Actually, 'booming' is a relative description, not absolute. It is the rate of GDP increase that counts, not the GDP figures itself. India's GDP might be booming, but is still in a weak state as can be seen in the GDP per capita, a better indicator for it's citizen well-being. |

When such statements are made about the economy it is in reference to the overall economy not the condition of individuals. A growing economy will never include everyone. There are "haves" and "have nots" in all economies. |
