You can try local advertising through Signs. Using an inexpensive pair of magnetic signs on your car will get exposure while you drive. If you want to go all out you can get a full color wrap that really turns heads.
Or Try putting the name of the website and a couple of bullet points. You can also use what are called bandit signs (usually against city code but very effective). Check out image32.com. |

The forum answer is a good one. You might also want to target social media websites that relate to the sports community like ballhype.com. I'd also recommend creating a wikipedia page for your website in order to optimize it for search engine results. You can also utilize social networking websites like facebook and myspace to narrow down your target market. If you message me I can get more in depth with my answer (it's too much to list here). |

Have you considered Affiliate Marketing? This is where people promote your site and get a small commission if their traffic results in a sale.

I found there website through an article that specifically listed they as a good website that sells high quality traffic. I know how important SEO is, but they have to promote in other ways too. I know I've found a working method!

There's a good guide to increase your traffic here: http://traffic-tips-and-tricks.blogspot.com The tips described there are quite simple but very effective.
And if you're willing to invest some time into it you should also consider reading the book "Guerrilla Marketing" by Jay Conrad Levinson, it tells you a lot of practical and effective ways to market your business for very little or no money at all.

Go to similar sites and do it. Go on forums where people who are interested in that stuff gather and put it in your sig and get popular and make topics about your site and if your site is useful it will gradually grow. |
