Well, to increase web traffic and unique visitors, you should market / link your site to different aged and popular sites. However, do perform the tactics listed below. you can achieve what you are looking for.
1. Keyword Research : select the right and less competitive keywords first, and the write content on them . Link to those keywords and get the best ranking for them in the major SE's
2. Maintain unique content : By this, you can get trust from the SE's . You should at least maintain 40% of uniqueness from the other world.
