Use it to create a local Adwords campaign where you bid on words for your industry. You can run this on a very local level.
THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!
You will need to track which words turn into sales... Google has a free "drop in code" to put in your website which will do this. Use it.
Here is why:
You're going to start with a list of 500-1000 keywords for your industry. Some of these words will never be searched... some of these words will get you clicks... some of these words will drive business to your Boutique.
Those words, the ones that drive biz are the ones you will optimize your page for.
Time to discover: 30 days
Cost: I have no idea. It costs per click, but failure to do this will cost you far more in bad ideas and wasted money. Trust me, I was once in your shoes!
FYI: the reason you're not seeing luck is because 1st you're using a phonebook and 2nd you're not optimizing Craigs for what your customers are searching for.

Return to our Google Keyword tool and find the 3-4 word terms in your local area that have a decent search volume.
Take those terms and create a useful information rich blog around each.
