How to Press charges? where do i go? Will it work?
I recently purchased a plan with Skype, it is a On the Go Number which consist in giving me a local number which will then connect me to my long distance call. Skype advertised me something it wasn't. They said that the local number they gave was local but it really wasn't. I received my cellular bill and it was $775 and almost 600 without taxes is because of "the local number" they have given me. I've emailed the company complaining about this and they insist it is a local number and now they have stopped replying to my emails. Sadly there is no number i can call to get a hold of a manager or anyone.
I would like to press charges. I am wondering how? who to go with? How much would this cost me? the process of this? and how long will this be solved?
Well, you're not really going to go down to your local police station and "press charges" against Skype. You'd want to retain an attorney and consider filing a lawsuit. Skype has U.S. offices, but it's based out of Luxembourg (if I'm not mistaken?).
But, before going through all of that, try using the phone number from this Web site here.
