To be a great salesperson, you have to be convinced that your product is the best possible product available for the price you are asking.
If you are truly convinced of that, no one will be able to stop you.
If you are not convinced of that, you might do OK, if you are a good actor and can lie well, but you will never make it to the top of your profession. |

Good salesmen (or women) should not be in the business to convince people of anything. You should have a quality product or service and have a genuine interest in serving your clients needs. Approach from a position of what they want rather than "How much can I make from this sale".
Also never underestimate the customer. The person in the dirty clothes may be a better customer than the person driving the Mercedes. |

It is most important to know the merchandise. I have been to many stores where the saleshelp only knows what the company told them about what they're selling.
Think of creative ways the merchandise can be used besides the obvious.
Don't ever harrass the customer into buying merchandise, and don't just agree with everything they say, if they are wrong, tell them...that's one way to look at it but you can also do this...then give them suggestions.
Never make them feel stupid (no matter how stupid they are) |

4. Always sell a concept to a customer with logic's.

Be ethical. Know your product. Present it in its best light without being deceitful. Follow-up after the sale. If it is not in your customer's best interest to buy - walk away. Do not force a sale just to make one. Know that even though some may sell dishonestly - you never need to.

Whether you succeed or fail, after each sales attempt, take five minutes to write down what you think you did wrong and what you think you did right. Correct your sales pitch accordingly. Develop personal relationships with your clients, find out birthdays, aniiversaries, etc... Make sure your company has an aggressive marketing campaign that gets your products in front of as many consumers as possible. |
