compare salary, commute, growth opportunities, benefits |

Money is never wrong but it is not neccesarily the only right. Years down the road, it might not be a huge factor.
I am doing what I love best but with minimal pay. I do ***** and think about the pay once inawhile but it's easier to spend 12 hours day working for something that you love most, something that you see yourself doing for long, grow and learn then something just for the money. |

Unless there's a wide gap in the salary, you'll want to base it on all of the many factors that answer the question 'is this the right move'. You've got to factor in: other benefits (vacation, health plan, bonus/options, etc.), impression of co-workers and work environment, opportunities to learn and advance, lifestyle factors (i.e. commute), company viability and growth prospects...the list goes on and on. Chances are one or the other will come out on top. If they're completely apples to apples, go with your gut. |

It depends on what you are looking for.Like me i would go for the better paying out of the two.If they pay the same i would consider the people I would be working with or what one is a shorter drive to work. Then there's the job you think your going to like better then the other one. Also there is the medical plans/dental/visual that you also look at.Make sure the business is going some where to. |

Where do you see yourself in five years? If you can't answer that, go with the higher salary.
If you think five years down the road, you can look at the company and see which one will either be a better "home" for you for that time, or better prepare you for where you really want to get to in that time. |

-make sure you pay close attention to how the company is doing financially. are they growing? are they stable?
-see if there is room for advancement? if there isn't, will this job take you to the next level outside of the company?
-what is your new boss's management style? make sure you are comfortable with your superior.
-do you meet co-workers during the interviews? how do they like their jobs? do they seem satisfied?
-make sure you will be challenged and learn from the position.
-look at the benefits-salary, bonus structure/possibility, 401K, health benefits - choose the one that is right for you
good luck |
