I have one site, as per client request he wants 5000 daily unique visitors on his site. For that i have made articles and posted on blogs. did submission on search engines and directories. And also did forum posting but still i am not getting that limit so Anybody help me for the same.

Firstly, what is your time frame to archive that goal? If it's within 90 days, that's ok. But if it's less, looks like you have to buy some traffic. Is your site well optimized with the right keywords and contents?
Are you getting paid for doing this? If you are, how come you are getting paid for what you are supposed to be good at and yet you do not know what you are doing? In my opinion, it's not right to charge what you cannot fulfill.
Since I'm a nice guy, I'll give some personal tips. I have not achieve a traffic of 5000 a day yet but I know of some proven SEO tactics that you haven't used yet. There are some black hat and some white hat tactics. Use it at your own risk.
- Reciprocal Linking
- Have a Blog within the website and blog often about your product/s. Use Tag and Ping tactic. Join Technorati, Diggs and such.
- Have mulitple "MySpace" account and invite many "friends" to link to you.
- Giveaway free stuffs like self-help ebooks, software & etc. on your site and advertise to related forums, myspace and such. this will bring traffic as they know they can download free stuffs.
- Submit some "videos" that is related to your website to googlevideo and youtube.
- Traffic exchanges
- RSS feeds
- Have a contests and giveaway cash or "great" prizes. Make sure you include in "Tell a Friend" email script too.
That's all I can think about for the moment... Hope it helps.

It may take some time but you can get even more if you do SEO. By targeting low competitive keywords you can start improving in rankings and getting traffic.

Your content has to be good enough to where 5000 unique visitors will want to hit your site. Once it is, the best way is pay per click. The best 2 sites for pay per click are Google and yahoo.

You know what...it would be very impossible to get 5000 unique visitors a day, except of course when you are a BIG TIME on search engine rank or you are Google or Yahoo.
Traffic and hits would get better in time. And this depends of course, to your site's age. With regards to what tactic is best to apply, you are doing just fine. However, keep in mind that you have to adapt to changes and always mix your marketing efforts with other strategy there is.
