How to increase retail sale?

I am running a franchisee store of a famous brands(Garment-Retails) in uttar-pradesh(India).
i am not happy with the performance of the store because every body is selling using the same idea(Discounted stores). What other I can do to attract more customers?

Well, make a chart on excel sheet regarding the schemes, advantages, facilities provided by you and your competitors as well.
Remember now days each customer is a king - so just treat him like that.
In short HOSPITALITY will be treated as calling customer second time.
A servant of yours helping in parking of the vehicle, you can also go ahead by applying cloth on there vehicle while they are busy in shopping.
Opening of gate with pleasant smile, wishing good morning will be an additional feature for the same.
A person serving water is applicable.
Moreover a smart salesman with english, hindi & local language control is required who can convert a call into a positive one.
Point out what features you are not offering and others are offering.
Discuss with company members for the same.
Remember you have to be on the top to lead the market.
Never ever be irritated if some customer after taking time of yours doesn't purchase anything. Be calm & cool, treat him as a future customer.
Still smile with him and make your servant open the door once again & wish him good day ahead.
You can also launch some additional schemes - such as surprise gifts for the person who enters your shop.
Ask him if he/she carries a photograph of his/her partner - then prize him for the same.
Ask them if they have yellow color handkerchief with them - if yes prized them.

Create Value for wat ever you sell. that may help see Discounted Sales r retail stores are really not working today wat coustomers like is the Shopping experience and can they get what they want in their Budget....

Try to create a niech for your Products or Store... enhance your Store layout and try to mix & match various Products....

Other day i had suggested on of my Client to Give a Discount coupn of 250 Rs on purchase of goods worth 1000 Bus and the Discount coupn can be used frm the next day of Purchase...

The Customer come again to you shop to BUy and get that discount that coupn again and in Branded stores u dont get ANything Less that 500 Bugs you make money there as well ....

not knowing the exact business development in india, i can
only try a few suggestions:

you could try to find out which products the competition is
not carrying and offer those

you could hand out "customer cards", where you put in the
sums spent by the customer in a year, promising that a
percentage ( may be 5-10 )will be paid back at the end
of the year, or will be available for free puchases in your shop

some stores offer free parking - you need to look around
where you could rent parking facilities for your customers

a yearly tombola for your customers might also work.

very important ( at least for me and all my friends ) is that you
and/or your staff let people entering your shop look around
in peace, without having you sitting in their necks.
