Hi malxn,
It really depends on if you like quick short spikes of traffic or long lasting streams of traffic and if you want to build backlinks in the process.
I suggest going for social bookmarking for brand building and quick spikes of traffic. For long term traffic, give article marketing a shot.
There are many other forms of traffic generation that I've listed on my site. All for free reading pleasure.

Most people search using Google. The way Google retrieves webpage relevance is by using page rank. You can make the font on your page bigger, you can try and have other sites put links to your site on their page and you can add words that would most likely be in the search query.
